This section provides specific details on how we handle data within our tungType macOS application ("tungType"). By using tungType, you agree to the practices described below in addition to the overarching policies stated in this Privacy Policy.

  • Local Voice Processing: tungType processes your spoken input locally on your device to convert speech into text. We do not transmit or store your audio data on any external server.
  • Accessibility Permissions: tungType requires Accessibility access on macOS to simulate keyboard input and execute voice commands. This permission is used solely for providing speech-to-text and shortcut functionality. We do not collect or transmit any data from these interactions.
  • No Cloud Storage: tungType does not store transcripts or voice data in the cloud. All processing and transcription occur on your local machine.
  • Diagnostics and Crash Logs: If the application crashes or encounters errors, macOS may generate a crash log. These logs are stored locally and are only shared with us if you choose to send them (for example, via email). We do not automatically collect any usage analytics or personal data.
